As a Student Coordinator I'm responsible for making sure the sports center is a welcoming environment for other student workers as well as an energizing and comfortable space for Reed community members to exercise in. During the pandemic I helped to operationalize, implement, and keep safety policies in the sports center. I feel strongly that there's no better way to learn than to teach; rather than re-explaining material to students and seeing what sticks, I'd ask them to talk me through what they knew and by practicing problems and examples together students could interactively build their knowledge to mastery.
