The first 12 years of my career were devoted to advancing the state of the art for dynamic power conversion systems for space applications. This work included design, fabrication, and testing of both Stirling and Brayton power systems for NASA's Science and Human Exploration objectives. In more recent years I have focused on leveraging private sector innovation to advance NASA's mission, including work in NASA's Regional Economic Development (RED) and Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) programs. In my current position I hope to improve NASA's ability to tap into the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the power of private sector R&D through finding dual use technologies that are of high interest to commercialization focused companies and investors.
