At this residential outdoor education school for elementary and high school students, I acted as lead administrator during the evenings. Overseeing a weekly staff of 30 counselors and teachers, I helped teach the subjects of environmental and marine science, natural history, conservation and stewardship. With the rise of the California Next Generation State Science Standards at the time, much of the curriculum was reworked during my tenure. In addition to mentoring outdoor educators and students, I rotated in as medical first responder, administering emergency care, distributing daily medications, and providing routine health checks.
