As the Managing Director of Dakota Venture Group, I oversee the financial operations of our student-run venture capital firm, dedicated to generating returns for our investors. A key aspect of my role involves engaging with potential investors regarding our new Harvest Fund, where I actively communicate the advantages of investing in venture capital to high-net-worth individuals. Additionally, I produce valuations for past investments and manage our tax and bookkeeping responsibilities. Collaborating with fellow managing directors, I lead our team to deliver high-quality work and ensure investor satisfaction.I have also been appointed as the student representative on the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education. In this capacity, I serve on two committees: the Academic and Student Affairs Committee and the Research and Governance Committee. My goal is to foster collaborative and innovative ideas that enhance the already strong North Dakota University System.Moreover, I have been involved in Student Government on campus, serving as the University’s Student Body Treasurer and as an Off-Campus Senator. In these roles, I provide regular budget updates to the Student Senate and university administration, as well as create and present the Student Body Budget for the upcoming fiscal year to the Student Fee Advisory Committee.
