Specialized in recovery-based coaching for men seeking all aspects of well-being within their recovery journey. Guided young men move through important decision-making processes with heart-centered purpose. Assisted young men in the following: seeking education, sharpening job interviewing skills, re-entering social opportunities, finding friendships that are healthy and intimate, and revisiting or finding new hobbies and interests. In addition, I supported clients by building recovery plans, goal setting, relapse prevention planning, discovering recovery supportive communities, and the quest of spirituality.

Responsible for delegating tasks to staff members and communicating shift updates with manager(s). Managed and executed financial responsibilities such as depositing income directly into bank. When manager wasn’t present, responsibilities included: checking inventory, making sure shift ran smoothly, directing staff specific positions, opening the store, and handling all duties dealing with managerial communication and knowledge.

Responsible for leading recovery related groups, taking patients to 12 step meetings, and providing the necessary tools of recovery so client could have the opportunity for a successful recovery experience. Worked with clients who were diagnosed with mental illnesses, substance abuse, and behavioral issues and provided resources such as: 12 step programs, coping skills, and other therapeutic tools. Responsible for the client’s safety (self-harm or harming others), would help client create a discharge plan for a successful recovery process outside of treatment, and worked one-on-one with client to guide him through obstacles with family relationships.

Worked with adolescents with Down Syndrome, Autism, and other disabilities at a summer camp that provided various activities for the campers such as: equine therapy, swimming, cooking, arts & crafts, hiking, gardening, and team-building activities/exercises. Worked directly with campers to help them achieve personal goals, encourage campers to practice social and communication skills, and was present to guide campers with their scheduled activities. Responsible for campers during swimming time. This included making sure all campers were safe during swimming lessons and provided assistance with the swimming activities. Also aided to personal needs such as: helping campers dress, undress, and guided campers using the bathrooms.
