Working in a pain research lab in the anesthesiology department, Robert Gereau, Principal Investigator. Work assignments include but are not limited to:• Immunohistology – slicing and staining mice brain and spinal cord tissue to prepare for imaging.• Tissue imaging – mount mice brain and spinal cord tissue, take images and perform various analysis based on research direction.• Mice surgery including a stereotactic brain injection.• Mice spared nerve injury surgery.• Mice pain stimulation radio transmitter device data analysis.• Mice perfusion• Electrophysiology including patching cells.• Von Frey mouse behavior analysis• General laboratory functions including making solutions and mouse weaning.

Was sought out to act as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Biomedical Engineering class to support the Professor. Duties include:• Grading papers• Monitoring the class in progress to assist students as required• Monitor lab classroom and assist students with lab assignments

Volunteered to as a general laborer for the VFW. Originally worked to secure required Community Service hours for the National Honor Society but have continued to support the organization after high school graduation. Duties have included but were not limit to:• Cooking and serving food for fund raising events.• Set up facility rooms for events held at the location.• Perform small maintenance work (painting, trash removal.Contributions resulted in the VFW paying for a lifetime membership in the VFW Auxiliary in appreciation of the work performed and continuing support of the organization.

Work summers and breaks assisting on a ranch doing various tasks as assigned. Work assignments include but are not limited to:• Operate trucks, tractors, and self-propelled machinery such as zero-turn mowers.• Maintain and repair fences, buildings, and other farm structures as part of groundskeeping duties.• Replace complete fences and install new fences, as necessary.• Perform regular maintenance to keep farm equipment in safe working order.• Check farmland for issues in need of attention, such as fences to mend and broken pipes to fix.• Perform care of horses including feed and water regularly, performing stall maintenance and watching animals for changes in behavior or demeanor.
