I grew up with a deep respect and passion for the performing arts. Though I was initially struck by the magic happening on stage, I was even more amazed by the inner working of these shows and how they functioned behind the scenes. Growing up with a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of Broadway theatre, I funneled this excitement into learning the nuts and bolts of each show. I would race home every week from school to study the weekly grosses, learning which shows were succeeding and which were struggling, and more importantly, why. Either in a theatrical office or a rehearsal room, my passion manifests itself in an easy-going perspective, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to help with any task, no matter how big or small. By majoring in Theatre with a minor in Sociology, my north star became to create a piece of art that reflected the bigger world. How do artists both in front and behind the table create vivid and equitable environments that allow audiences to see themselves on stage and for the teams to do their best work offstage? Through various jobs and internships both in theatre and other sectors, I have learned to meet every project and challenge with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.
