About Maxwell Nzekwe
With over 15 years of proven experience in the business and telecommunications industry, I have an excellent track record in high stake technical project delivery, business development management and entrepreneurship. I have worked with the leading IT and media technology companies in Nigeria: International Business Machine (IBM), Bloomberg TV Africa, Dimension Data West Africa Voidant Broadcasting Limited (VBL), and so many others.I have a Masters Degree in Business and certifications from top global tech institutions: IBM, Cisco, Microsoft Tekedia Business School and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. I am highly skilled in Networking Administration, Cisco Technologies, IT Infrastructure, Databases, IT Service Management and Project Management.While iI worked as an IT Manager at Bloomberg TV Africa. I designed, planned and implemented the network architecture. I implemented key service provider’s technology like Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) which was deployed using Cisco. This was able to transport different protocols like Internet Protocol (IP), Asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) over the same infrastructure and connect all the Operating countries through an MPLS cloud, enabling inter-OpCo connectivity through dedicated circuits. At IBM, I worked with a team that redesigned the Data Centre for Airtel one of IBM customers and created zones for the proper and appropriate handling of Data Centre traffic. We developed a model to move the Data Centre network from a flat network to a fully zoned network where appropriate resilience, security & QOS was applied to specified DC traffic. This solution designed by my team was replicated in all the countries where Airtel operates in. In line with the Datacenter transformation project, we designed and implemented a Network access management solution for device authentication and Network Intrusion and Protection System (NIPS).
