Over the course of one summer, I was able to work on a number of design oriented projects spanning multiple disciplines. I participated in meetings, made tangible project contributions, and observed numerous departments at work. I also learned and expanded on new practical skills such as Siemens NX 3D modeling software as well as soft skills like professional communication and collaboration.

I worked five consecutive summer seasons in the ride operations department of Morey's Piers. First four seasons I operated rides of increasing responsibility, working my way up from kiddie rides to the most popular attractions on the pier. In my last season I took on a supervisory role where I managed the operators of many rides and even went so far as to train new employees on the rides they would operate that season.
