At Apple Valley Foods Inc. I worked as a baker producing sweet pies. I was employed during the summer months between university school years for a total of four consecutive summers or 16 months. A major part of the job was producing safe quality products by adhering to food manufacturing guidelines and procedures.Some of my responsibilities and actions included:▪ Increasing production capacity by efficiently timing and managing 14 industrial ovens at a time▪ Increasing customer satisfaction by following food safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices to uphold a high standard of quality for food products▪ Working with a team of 3 bakers to conduct daily operations effectively by efficiently splitting the workload▪ Coming to work at least 30 minutes prior to my shift’s official start to provide relief for the previous shift’s bakers and to get organized as well as prepare for the daily operations
