Responsible for overseeing an effective Hazardous Locations business operation across North America by implementing continuous improvements in communication and productivity with both internal and external clients.Partners with HR to create positions and recruit top-level industry talent.Liaises with Sales Executives and General Managers to ensure a full pipeline of project work with a smooth transition to operations to meet or exceed client expectations for service delivery.Identifies areas for growth and scope expansion.Monitors revenue margins and reviews budgets to maximize profitability.

Serves as a Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) technical expert in CSA Group's Market Analysis and Planning team within the Industrial Commercial Unit with a primary focus on the commercial development of new accounts and the development of new opportunities within established accounts through expanded service offerings.Partners with CSA Group Technical and Strategic Account Managers and Operations Staff, as well as CSA Group clients to enhance the client experience from RFQ through evaluation, testing, and certification.Provides a technical resource for clients to discuss HazLoc protection concepts and certification schemes, existing and future projects, and/or new ideas and designs. This expanded relationship allows for the anticipation of client needs, sets the stage for a successful project, and aims to exceed client expectations.  Assists the CSA Group Industrial Marketing team as a subject matter expert for HazLoc content creation (articles, white papers, sell sheets, brochures, etc.).

Primary source of HazLoc support for UL's North American Sales Executives: attending meetings, conference calls, providing training, etc.;Attend Oil & Gas/HazLoc related Trade Shows: OTC, GPS, PCIC, and PEI;Build upon existing relationships and create new relationships with HazLoc clients;Utilize market intelligence to identify risks or opportunities to expand services; andTackle special projects to help grow UL's HazLoc business.

Independently conduct on and off site evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s). To do this, Project Engineer must: - Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the equipment under test; - Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions; - Validate the project scope and sample applicability; - Under scope of the project, identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing; - Follow established test plan; - Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed; - Conduct thorough construction review; document results; - Perform testing of products in accordance with standards.
