I am a third-year student at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, majoring in accounting and finance. I am passionate about quantitative analysis, math, and leadership. I have demonstrated these passions in many different ways. Starting in high school, I was a member of the Edina High School math team and investing club. I grew these skills in these two organizations through various meets and competitions. Furthermore, in the summer, I was a playground leader and site leader for Edina Parks and Recreation. This involved planning and conducting activities for children throughout the day while also ensuring their safety and well-being. Through these experiences, I extended my leadership and counseling skills. Now at Indiana University, I continue to seek new opportunities to grow more expertise that I can utilize in my professional and personal life. I am widening my knowledge of these skills by enrolling in honors courses through the Hutton Honors Program and joining and participating in various student organizations like the Financial Services Club and the Undergraduate Research and Trading Club. These clubs have given me an opportunity to demonstrate my growth of knowledge through discussions and case competitions. These have expanded my teamwork and communication skills while also teaching me the basic ideas around trading and finance in general. In the future I hope to broaden my involvement on campus and develop my leadership and advising skills by becoming a Kelley peer mentor in order to give back and help other students. To continue developing my skills of quantitative analysis, math, and leadership later in my college career, I plan on seeking out an accounting internship. This will help grow my experience in the professional working environment. Overall, after college, I intend on pursuing a career in accounting, helping companies reach their goals.
