Hello!! I'm Maxwell Peters, an East Coast native and Emerson College graduate with a diverse professional journey. Over the past seven years, I've immersed myself in education, working in both charter and public schools. Currently, I proudly hold the role of Director of Visual and Performing Arts at Intrinsic Schools in Chicago.In addition to my educational endeavors, I contribute as a ghostwriter for a popular Young Adult Fiction author, weaving stories that captivate and resonate. On the creative front, my experience extends to the world of screenwriting, where I've earned recognition, including an Emmy Award nomination for my work on Pen15 (Hulu).My career trajectory began in young adult & teen entertainment with industry giants like The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon, AwesomenessTV, and POPSUGAR. Transitioning into education, I've found my passion at the intersection of Arts Education, Special Education, and Education Policy.Alongside my work with partner Kaitlyn Gatto at Ignited Entertainment, creating impactful films, I bring a wealth of experience from in the field to the classroom. As a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Writer’s Guild, and the Young Producer Circle at Center Theatre Group I remain actively engaged in my journey to bridge the gap between creativity and education.
