Max is an attorney licensed to practice law in California. He has experience handling construction, employment, insurance, international shipping, landlord-tenant, maritime, premises liability, real estate, sexual assault, and transportation claims, and sitting second-chair in a jury trial. In 2020, Max graduated from Tulane Law School in New Orleans. He earned a certificate in maritime law, and was an editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal (TMLJ) and student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic. In 2019, he was awarded the Tulane Maritime Law Center Award for writing the Most Outstanding Case Note in TMLJ's Volume 43. His summer clerkships were for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. and a boutique litigation firm, Scudi & Ayers LLP, in San Diego.Before law school, while studying for the LSAT, Max worked for an agribusiness founded by his father and grandfather. He also had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to assist a family in the winter of 2016 operate its ecotour business in Laguna San Ignacio, Mexico, one of two lagoons in the world designated by the United Nations as a whale sanctuary.In 2015, Max graduated cum laude from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, majoring in Economics and minoring in Italian. While enrolled, he competed with the men's club volleyball team, studied abroad in Perugia, Italy, worked for the university's Food & Agribusiness Institute, and participated in immersion programs in Cuba and Spain that examined sustainable agriculture and energy. Max is a member of the Federalist Society. In his free time, Max enjoys surfing, gardening, and learning jujitsu. He speaks conversational Italian (with his grandmother) and has run 8 half-marathons. In high school, he played varsity volleyball all four seasons and was awarded Perfect Attendance.
