About Max Wieselmann

I am an experienced Supply Chain / Procurement Professional specialising in developing processes and people in large complex global companies. I do this through strong project management initiatives, working with key stakeholders and developing people to achieve desired outcomes.Max started his career in BP as a Financial Controller, establishing systems and process for a new Franchisee Retail Network. This led to a regional operational role in NSW including franchisee selection, negotiating supply, marketing and leading field staff.Max then became accountable for the national distribution to BP Shops, including warehousing, sales and promotions. Next he managed the Distributor network inclding strategy, network development, promotional strategy, distributor incentives, equity proposals and distributor systems. I later managed the truckstop network throughout Australia. Max led the implementation of retail point of sale and back office systems. Included in this portfolio was the integration with New Zealand and managing BP Plus Card System in 5 regions in Asia Pacific. Max's next move was to the UK as Global Manager Procurement Tools and Processes. He managed global spend analytics, procurement work plans, web portals and a range of other procurement online tools.The next role was in Russia as Director Organizational Capability in a joint venture with TNK. Max was accountable for setting the strategy for capability development for the SCM function involving over 1,500 staff. The program was runner up at the annual Charter Institute of Purchasing and Supply awards. Max then moved to the UK into the role of Staff Development & Deployment Manager. He managed the deployment of PSCM with a specific focus on the Eastern Hemisphere. Max led the evaluation and implementation of a new Talent Management system within PSCM, which was then adopted as BP global standard. Two project Max is proud of were localising roles in Iraq and developing 1,500 in Russia.
