• My role within this organisation was to oversee and manage internal office staff (6) On site supervisors (8) And trades all over the country (300+)• This was a kitchen business and I managed the day to day scheduling, problem solving and transport management.• Oversee all quality for the business• I was on the show (The Block) for 2 seasons and running all trades in kitchen week and master robeweek. This was extremely challenging but rewarding.• Worked with VIP customers such as Scott Cam, Guy Sebastian, Ally Langdon on project managing their builds to a point of handover.• I would attend civil and administrative tribunals on behalf of the company all over the country and work direct with the legal team.• Oversee and sign off on Business agreements• Direct report to the Operations manager and CEO and CFO.• Travel all over the country to oversee quality and manage issues.

I was Site Manager on three very large, high end Architectural builds with my time at Orton. High end finishes and everything was custom made.My duties here as a site manager was to manage all trades and schedules. I had to adhere to all strict building codes and standards whilst maintaining a timeline and high-end quality finishes. I also worked on the tools whenneeded, to teach my peers how to achieve a great end result. I conducted safety meetings, Toolbox talks and Friday BBQ’s to create team culture. I worked very closely with Architects, Project managers and the director to ensure the build was delivered on time and on budget.

The reason I studied this was because I had seen poor quality waterproofing over the years and being a licensed builder allows you to sign off on waterproofing but I wanted to know how it was done properly and effectively and not tick and flick something so important.
