I am a Regulatory Advisor working within Ahpra's Compliance division. In this role, I conduct monitoring activities and advise the National Boards (e.g. Medical, Nursing and Midwifery, Dental) in relation to compliance with conditions imposed on the registrations of health practitioners. As part of the Health-3 Team, I primarily manage cases which feature registration conditions associated with complex mental health issues, physical health impairments, and substance use issues. I also manage cases relating to clinical performance and/or conduct issues, and undertake statutory investigations under s160 of the National Law in response to suspected non-compliance.I hold a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Politics and International Studies) from Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. I also hold a Graduate Diploma of Bioethics with distinction from Monash University, and a Certificate IV in Government Investigations. Previously, I worked as a Solicitor at international commercial law firm King & Wood Mallesons, with a focus on commerical litigation, class actions, and construction law. I was admitted to the legal profession in October 2021.Some of my key interests are in health regulation, public safety, health policy, medico-legal matters, mental health and the law, and bioethics.
