Besides of pursuing my peace mission at Peace SOS, I support people in a mental crisis at the Psychiatry Department of the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht). Doing my best to give the patients care. And to help them finding their way. See also my books "Here I Am" and "Inner Voices".

At Peace SOS, we strive towards a world where all children can play. To stimulate this, Peace SOS calls for the prevention of and halt to wars by means of diplomacy. We do this via: - empowering local peace initiatives- talking with politicians and ambassadors - thinking about new ways to achieve peace - writing external publications and opinion articles

Giving Iranian women a voice in the mediaShahrzad News is an international press agency that promotes media diversity, freedom of expression, and human rights in Iran. Shahrzad News focusses on women’s rights in particular.

I was an editor at the televison programme De Leugen Regeert.

Research topics were: giving by companies, corporate social responsibility, aid, charity reputation, effects of news, corporate reputation. My PhD focussed on the effects of news and advertising on corporate reputation. My research is published in scientific journals such as: Corporate Reputation Review, Journal of Advertising Research, Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication, Business and Society.In addition I did applied studies for Greenpeace, Dutch Heart Foundation, NCDO and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. I gave lectures for the Post Academic Course in charity marketing. Participants were Fundraising managers and Communication managers.

LAIOO/PNN is the Dutch national PhD researchers council bringing together local PhD associations of all fourteen Dutch universities and representing the interests of all PhD candidates at national level. I wrote the report "Keep Talent!" and presented it to the Dutch minister of Education, Culture and Science and to the board members of the universities. This report was updated and translated in English in 2011.

I worked at the Netherlands Institute for Co-operative Entrepreneurship (NICE). And developed a communication plan for a Dutch foundation that aimed to improve the safety of pigs.
