About Maya Amyx

I am pursuing landscape architecture because I see it as a powerful tool for building sustainability into everyone’s lives. In exploring resilient design, I am also pursuing minors in Sustainable Environments and Habitat Restoration Ecology. During my time at Cal Poly, I have gained experience with traditional art, digital design, construction documents, irrigation, and landscape maintenance. Aside from these skills, I'm also exploring many extracurriculars around campus, including leading tours with the College of Architecture and Environmental Design Ambassadors, organizing and promoting events for SCASLA (the Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architecture), maintaining greenhouses and the arboretum at the Cal Poly Horticulture Unit, and representing on the Landscape Department Advisory Council. After graduation, I plan to design impactful sustainable spaces in urban areas, while continuing to educate myself about how to best address equity and ecology.
