Maya Elbaum got her first taste of Pilates at age 13 by taking private lessons in upstate NY to improve her dance training. She attended the University of California at Irvine as a dance major and graduated with a B.A. in 2002. She later became certified through Core Pilates NYC in 2008. Maya has been a staff member at Yoga Works Westside since 2008 and also maintains a private practice in the comfort of her students' homes.She is known to have a true sensitivity for observation that allows her to foster the delicate balance within each of her students that will allow for a strong mind-body connection.
