I don’t fit into your box.I’m a graphic designer, a performance artist, a content writer, a producer and an actress. This list of widely varying professions actually conforms to a very basic principle that lies at the heart of everything it represents- taking a raw idea and making it a complete polished product. My creative process is very much influenced by this diversity and I often find myself oscillating between one line of work to another in search of new ideas and a fresh perspective.I have an insatiable urge to gain knowledge and so after graduating from acting school I enrolled in graphic design studies and started working as a designer on top of being an actress. I also worked as a content writer, a role which quickly developed into content managing and brand designing. Soon after, I pursued a Master's degree in Performance Making at Goldsmiths University that helped me polish and finesse my abilities and gain confidence in my creative process, and also led up to my writing and creation of a solo theatre show I now perform.This experience led me to discover 2 very important skills: creating things from scratch and developing a narrative- be it an idea, an intangible concept, a written word, an image, a product, or a theatre show. I know how to tell a good story- accentuating a brand's best qualities, following a thread and shining a distinct light on it. I’m really good at improvising and working under pressure or in extreme environments makes me tick. I’m an avid fan of classical music (Rachmaninoff gives me the chills), Russian literature and tahini. I get the best ideas when I’m on the go, have a really tight deadline and obviously from 2 to 4 in the morning (the magic hours). I’m right over at mayagold123@gmail.com if you want to chat ;)
