Hello! My name is Maya Herrera, and I am a junior at the University of Arizona. I am a double major in Business Management and Entrepreneurship; I am also intent on receiving a certificate in sports management here at the Eller College of Management. I am a member of the Sports Management Association and a selected member of SPARK. Off-campus, I am an artistic gymnastics coach for beginner and competitive-level girls at a local gym here in Tucson. I am able to effectively convey my knowledge of women’s gymnastics through leadership, compassion, and communication to the younger generations. I am originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, but after receiving the Arizona Excellence Tuition Award, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and gain new experiences here in Tucson. In my free time, I am an aspiring artist and an avid lifter.
