I will be supporting WMG’s goal of building community-based stewardship through life-long learning opportunities that focus on experiential, iterative learning to foster a culture of reciprocal relationships with the environment. In this role, I will coordinate logistics for educational offerings at the Living Lab, including Family Saturdays, public tours and activities, and Hydrate and Rebate classes. Additionally, I will coordinate the Welcome Center, the Learning Center, and assist with the internship and docent programs, as well as community and fundraising events. Beyond mere coordination, I will also actively participate in Family Saturdays and contribute to the development, co-teaching, and leading of various educational activities, aligning them with my interests, experience, and the organization’s needs.

- Greeted and assisted residents and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Addressed inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive living experience for all dormitory occupants. - Managed front desk operations, including answering phone calls, handling mail and packages, and maintaining accurate records of resident check-ins and check-outs. Proficiently used computerized systems for data entry and information retrieval.- Proactively identified and addressed issues related to facility maintenance, security, or resident needs. Collaborated with maintenance and security staff to promptly resolve issues and maintain a secure and well-functioning environment.

- Oversaw 40+ upper-division and international students in an apartment-style housing complex. - Designed and implemented 8+ programs for students with creative marketing strategies.- Performed weekly and occasional weekend 24/7 on-call rotations which included facilitating rounds of the building to ensure security and to address conduct and mental health issues/crises. - Provided 1:1 support of students by connecting them to campus academic and support services.

- Explored the intertwined issues that surround, influence, and shape the natural and cultural worlds of the Grand Canyon region through completing 17 honors credits with a focus in field education.- Applied classroom content to real-world applications through interacting with guest speakers and organizations including Indigenous leaders, government entities, and the park Superintendent. - Partnered with the Grand Canyon Trust to implement ecological spring surveys by gathering data that was valuable for supporting riparian restoration and conservation efforts in Northern Arizona. - Met with Inter Tribal Association of Arizona Resolution to discuss methods to improve and increase Indigenous representation of Grand Canyon National Park’s staff and visitors. - Assisted Grand Canyon Conservancy with documenting erosion of the bank along the Colorado River by conducting geological surveys and taking photos to compare with archival data.

- Communicated and collaborated with US Geological Survey and NAU scientists and staff to develop a systematic protocol for data extraction and entry - Read scientific literature; interpreted evidence in the form of text, numbers, and figures; extracted and entered data into a database- Completed 300+ hours of literature review/data entry- Data for this project is given to BLM and ESA to inform management decisions for native seed restoration on the Colorado Plateau and Great Basin Area

- Supported advocacy efforts for the Upper Verde River through leading and coordinating 4 tabling events as well as visiting 4 classes to inform students on the cause through verbal presentations and flyers.- Attended 1.5 hour bi-weekly meetings of the Upper Verde Wild and Scenic River Team (UVWSR), and other events including the 2023 Wild and Scenic Rivers Hill Week and professional development trainings.- Aided in campaigning for the Wild Rivers Film Tour through intentional outreach in the Flagstaff community, in Prescott, Verde Valley, and on campus which consisted of petitioning and/or canvassing.- Provided local businesses in Flagstaff, Verde Valley, and Prescott with promotional materials such as handouts, brochures, and stickers to support the protection of Upper Verde.

- Conducted 80+ hours of research which included assisting with literature reviews, policy research, building Excel spreadsheets of resources, and conducting primary research on the Shasta dam case.- Completed audio and webinar transcriptions, interview analysis, summary of research findings, and supported Lab Director in preparing and proofreading publication materials.
