As a hostess at P.F. Changs I have a big role considering I am the first impression of the company that customers encounter A position in the hospitality service incorporates a drive to making people happy as well as feeling special when they come to dine. Led tasks throughout the shift exceeding the job requirements of greeting patrons upon arrival with a big smile, warm welcome, seating guests, and managing a seating chart.Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff and customers during shift to ensure dining details are handled properly and flowing efficiently. Take all calls that come in to the establishment along with dialing out to customers and staff. Ranging from taking/confirming reservations, taking note of requests and allergies into the Wisely application, transferring manager calls and taking messages when unavailable, taking takeout orders and entering into POS system, inspecting restaurant for cleanliness followed by resetting and restocking.Began training new hires in 2019, and stressed the importance of "the customer comes first". Working in restaurant customer service, the hostess are the first person a customer comes in contact with. Most importantly representing the company as a whole being the first impression of how the experience will follow after our encounter. Along with the opportunity to create close relationships with coworkers and lending a helping hand when it comes to checking on guests, cashing out guests and most importantly referring them to our rewards program. When referring customers to the rewards program it gives them an incentive to return to the establishment and a sense of belonging.

Bringing guests their food, servicing them when needed, and food prepping. The role itself was tailored more to being a server assistant and food prep while still remaining mostly "back of house". Three-day work weeks, Friday-Sundays while still in high school. Requires fast paced employees, work well under pressure, and incorporated good teamwork skills.
