Throughout my time at the Center for Financial Independence, I authored the Center's first strategy proposal with detailed steps to improve the marketing process, engage the student body, offer enhanced financial literacy programs, and re-structure internal operations. Additionally, I coordinated program evaluations and research surveys to improve the department's operations and provided in-depth documentation to the leadership team and higher-level managers. As a member of the center, I also help with daily tasks, preparing event presentations and activities, creating marketing materials, and presenting workshops on financial topics such as budgeting, credit cards, investing, loans, and taxes.

During my time on the Fixed Products and LTC Modeling Team at John Hancock, I developed a stronger understanding of the Life Insurance industry. I constructed Python scripts to perform reconciliation between the outgoing and new systems to support the accuracy of the Valuation Systems Transformation implementation in GGY Axis. Additionally, I implemented improvements to quarter-end model tools using Python and SQL and communicated analysis of results to team members and management. Throughout my co-op, I researched the implementation of Manulife Global Edge in the international marketplace by coordinating meetings with pricing leaders and presenting for the company's actuarial community.

During my internship at Starr Companies in the Underwriting department, I developed an understanding of Property and Casualty insurance by compiling premium and loss spreadsheets, preparing rating and evaluation worksheets, and completing policy renewals and endorsements. Throughout the summer, I also composed commercial casualty loss models for general, auto, and workers' compensation liability policies.

As the Quality Assurance Analyst, I reviewed the electronic forms for any errors and provided recommendations for improvements. Once the forms were corrected, I worked in the capacity of the Theater Administrator for the March and June 2018 concerts, using excel to organize and manage information gathered from the forms, as well as reaching out to participants.

Promoted from mentor, I worked as a coach for the middle school speech team, overseeing a group of 8 – 10 students each meeting. I helped the students work on specific skills, such as confidence-building, oratory techniques, and public speaking strategies. I also rehearsed pieces with students to prepare for speech tournaments.
