MercyCorps is a global humanitarian organization empowering people to recover from the crisis, build better lives and transform their communities for good. MercyCorps has worked in Lebanon since 1993, providing development assistance to thousands of disadvantaged citizens. Market-based opportunities and Skills Training for Women and Youth”, an integrated program funded by the Canadian government designed to improve livelihood opportunities for women and youth (aged 15-34) from vulnerable populations. The overall objective is that women and youth are empowered and valued for playing an active economic role within their households and communities employment in three geographic zones: (1) Tripoli, in the North Lebanon Governorate; (2) Saida in the South Governorate and Barja & surrounding areas in the adjacent Mount Lebanon Governorate; and (3) the city of Nabatiyeh, in the Nabatiyeh Governorate. The objective of the component I was responsible for, was to create opportunities and link to jobs and on-the-job training for women and youth to access safe and decent employment or self-employment through implementing different approaches and activities such as market-based skills training, work-based learning and mentoring activities.

MicroMentor is a pilot project in Lebanon, aiming to promote mentoring as a business resource for young entrepreneurs from diverse regions across the country and develop a scalable model for replication in other contexts. This project implemented in partnership with UNICEF and funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tripoli and Saida districts.

Secours Islamique France, a Nongovernmental organization of international solidarity based in France, has been present in Lebanon since 2012 as a response to the Syrian crisis. The project, emergency intervention for the most vulnerable people affected by the Syrian crisis in Mount Lebanon, aims to support and strengthen protection for children and adolescents and mitigate the tensions amongst the Syrian-crisis affected population in Lebanon. This project aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society and government structures such as Social Development Centers (SDC) and local stakeholders by supporting and reinforcing resilience and addressing the needs of vulnerable groups to access income and employment through a comprehensive set of interventions and offering the possibility to receive qualified vocational training. The project's activities is a combination of 3 main synergized sectors: Child protection, Social stability, and livelihoods

Solidar Suisse had operated in Lebanon as a response to the Syrian emergency crisis by providing support for refugees and poor Lebanese in the South of Lebanon. Managed Relief projects to address the most pressing needs of the most economically vulnerable Syrian refugee and Lebanese families in Nabatieh and South governorates through distributing NFIs, UCA, Fuel Vouchers, and SOKs, as well as strained social services within the Lebanese communities in which they live through supporting local municipalities and implementing community support projects.The 9 relief projects were funded by UNHCR, APA, ASB, and Swiss Solidarity.
