The Atlas Zero Waste Project is a new scoring system and benchmarking tools to assess a campus’s capacity to achieve institutional and holistic zero waste infrastructure and practices. Assessment includes campus departments chosen based on volume and type of waste. My responsibilities include:- Conducting interviews with key stakeholders to benchmark Seattle University’s progress towards zero waste- Identifying gaps in information within programs & departments - Independently manage scheduling interviews, data collection, and project deadlines- Facilitating interdepartmental group discussions between up to 15 stakeholders- Collecting and organized qualitative and quantitative data and reported findings- Drafting a Strategic Vision deliverable that was distributed to all key procurement stakeholders on Seattle University’s campusThrough my work with PLAN, I have enhanced my critical thinking abilities by conducting in-depth research, evaluating multiple perspectives, and making evidence-based decisions to address complex sustainability challenges.
