My education and training has been in the area of social work, psychological counselling and training. My stint in the development sector spans 20+ years engaging with parents/families of special children, alcohol and drug dependents and their families, teaching counselling as core faculty and mentoring trainees, designing, managing, monitoring and documenting programs in relation to HIV/AIDS for over a decade. I also worked with a HR Consultant and conducted training programs for corporates in relation to behavioural skills.I am currently a psychotherapist in private practice since April 2014. I offered counselling services as a consultant for McKinsey, Chennai besides designing customised theme-based workshops between 2014 - 2020. I undertook consultancy assignments for the development sector in areas related to writing grant proposals, documenting project reports, annual reports, conducting impact assessment studies and providing programmatic recommendations, soft skills training and related aspects. I also worked as Head - Southern Region, Sahayam where I designed and delivered training programs for corporates, educational institutions, planned and organised open workshops for psychology professionals and students.My most recent assignment is as Lead - Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation with India Education Collective (IEC) in the education space.
