The NSF funded a program through California State University, Long Beach, to expose students to fieldwork in Geography. For this internship, students were taken to River Ridge Ranch to conduct research of their liking and create a presentation to display their findings. Personally, a partner and I conducted soil carbon sequestration research to see if there was a different in carbon storage across different habitats at the site.

For an English course, it was required to complete 25 service hours at a local environmental conservancy or non-profit. For my learning, I chose Bolsa Chica Land Conservancy, located in Huntington Beach, California. During my time, I worked with the education team to create fylers for "Earth Month". I created many garphics to educate the public on the wetlands, endangered and endemic species, and for upcoming events. Attached is my final for this course, displaying the work I completed. I ended up completing over 25 hours.
