I am a recent Environmental Science (Pollution and Environmental Processes) graduate from The University of Manchester, passionate about sustainable development and contributing to positive environmental and societal change. With climate change posing an ongoing challenge, I am dedicated to being part of the solution for a better future.My degree has expanded my understanding of humanity's impact on nature and the physical, chemical, and biological processes that sustain life on Earth. This scientific background has equipped me to research and address critical issues such as ensuring access to clean water and air, and the resources necessary for agriculture and industry. My dissertation project investigated the role of parks in mitigating the urban heat island effect in Manchester. By collecting and analysing data over the course of a year, I gained valuable insights into how green spaces can be optimised to improve urban climates.My academic experience, work in the hospitality sector, and volunteering experience have honed my skills in research, data analysis, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, all essential transferable skills for a future career in environmental science.
