Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) is a Living Learning Community at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. WISE is for women in STEM looking for a community. Members of the community live in the same hall, take a seminar together and are invited to regularly scheduled activities. Each resident has a peer mentor, a former WISE resident, who can guide them along their year in college. As the WISE Student Program Lead, I assist in running the WISE seminar, plan the events and manage WISE social media accounts and communications with the students. I also function as a WISE peer mentor. I work closely with the rest of the student staff as well as faculty to ensure the program runs smoothly.
