My role and work at Module revolves mainly around synthesis, designing and planning experiments for the junior team, for preparation of novel signalling molecules to be used in bio-sensing. At Module i am also involved in: -Writing manuscripts and patent writing /searching in our domain.-Synthesis and surface modification of nanomaterials and various nanostructures.-Interpretation of results from UV-Vis, GPC, NMR, FT-IR etc -Development of protocols and optimisation of chemistry. The work gives me hands on experience to do lab work and also train and lead the team to deliver the results in time and as per the deadlines. Module has given me experience to do independent research with a potential to commercialise.

- Expert in synthesis of alloy nanoparticles for electrochemistry applications- Synthesized Platinum-Ruthenium (Pt-Ru) and Platinum-Nickel (Pt-Ni) alloy catalyst and characterized using TEM, SEM, BET surface area. The catalyst used for oxygen reduction reaction for PEM Fuel cells- The catalyst synthesized was giving best performance for ORR in comparison with commercial Pt/C catalyst - High overpotential, high current density imparted high performance.- Synthesized a Tin/carbon catalyst for Methanol Oxidation Reaction and characterizedThe catalyst was found to be better as compared to commercial Pt/C catalyst- Handled gas cylinders including highly explosive Hydrogen, Oxygen, Helium and Nitrogen -collection, storage and day-to-day inspection.- Successfully maintained inward-outward gas cylinders- Presentations and report making, Expert in Adobe illustrator

- Particle size and zeta potential analysis of routine samples received from different Indian industries using Static and Dynamic Light Scattering (SLS & DLS). The clients include India’s lead pharmaceutical companies, chemical manufacturing companies, several universities all over India- Analysed samples, data recorded and prepared reports of 1000+ samples over the period of 2 years- Reports send to PI before timelines- Presented data and report in the annual meeting within the organization- Maintenance and troubleshooting of the DLS instrument (Brookhaven) Extra responsibilities/skills- Confocal Microscopy (Zeiss LSM 900) operator: Hands-on-experience in confocal microscopy where I characterized 3D microstructures surface topography of different samples (biological, nanomaterials, polymers etc.)- An independent project was executed from idea to end-result using Chitosan-PNIPAM microgel to study temperature dependent crystallization behavior of soft, attractive microgels- 3D Dynamic Light Scattering: Hands-on-experience. Hydrodynamic radius determination of chitosan-PNIPAM microgel - Lead a team of 3 project students to demonstrate Chitosan-PNIPAM phase transition-Trained them 3D DLS and DLS for the RH determination
