Communications professional with more than two decades of diverse experience in healthcare, spanning media relations, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. My background as a former journalist, coupled with my work across industry, communications agencies, charities, and the public sector, has honed my ability to craft compelling narratives and manage complex communication challenges. Returning to my own business after several years leading communications and marketing for the Patients Association and also being part of the Vaccines Taskforce, I had added experiences in accessible communications, website management, and, much to my surprise, Google Analytics, among other skills.

I led the comms function at the Patients Association, an independent UK charity campaigning for improvements in health and social care for patients.First contact for journalists' enquiries, management of all the charity's owned channels including the website and newsletters, marketing of the charity's project work, and development and implementation of strategic communication and marketing plans aligned to the five-year patient partnership strategy.

Working within the Vaccines Taskforce to plan strategy around BEIS' work to "drive forward, expedite and co-ordinate efforts to research and then produce a coronavirus vaccine".
