A seasoned economic development expert with over 25 years of experience working globally in emerging markets. Specializing in financial inclusion, agricultural growth strategies, gender economics, and social impact, I have successfully led multiple organizations, including microfinance companies, agribusinesses, non-profits, and advisory firms as a CEO. I have extensive experience working in complex environments, including conflict zones, engaging with investors, commercial banks, central banks, policymakers, donors, and MSMEs. Over the past decade, I have managed portfolios exceeding $300 million, delivering impactful outcomes for thousands of MSMEs. With a broad geographic scope, I have worked in 30 countries across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. I also serve on the boards of several digital and commercial banks, private enterprises, and NGOs, all of which are focused on financial and social inclusion. My academic experience includes research at Ohio State University, teaching at the University of California, Davis, and leading global microfinance training programs for the International Labor Organization (ILO). As an author and grant writer, I am a recognized leader in both the non-profit and private sectors.
