Interim Executive Director for a public bike share network that serves 212,000 riders per year in the Houston region. HBS is the largest non-profit bike share network in the nation with 150+ stations, 1100 electric and acoustic bikes, and 20+ employees that keep it rolling. The business consists of 3 key elements: a) software that allows for “sharing”, b) hardware likes bikes and stations, and c) the operations, service and maintenance of the front and back office of the network.My job is to maximize efficiencies so that we can provide a consistent bike share network. Also, to codify long term funding options that integrate bike share as a public transportation utility.

The marketing team is focused on driving revenue and supporting client engagement in the increasingly competitive and editing climate during U.S. health care reform. Brainstormed. Interacted and listened to internal and external clients. Developed useable, measurable strategies to create messages that drove gate attendance and long-term community involvement. Established goals, set targets, and measured ROI for all promotional marketing events that drove gate attendance and promoted opportunities for upselling products and services once inside the Zoo.Solicited, planned, and implemented 22 revenue generating marketing events a year with financial support from 30 third-party promotional partnerships. Managed and implemented 3 title sponsored events a year generating 125,000 visitors, and more than 1M in gate revenue. Measured and coordinated all special projects and grass roots initiatives such as: employee rewards and incentive programs, employee holiday events, animal department appreciation breakfasts, third-party promotions, and new animal exhibit promotion. Developed and managed relationships with community agencies to encourage their members to develop a long term relationship with the Zoo through participation in various programs offered.Contributed daily commentary of Zoo initiatives and news through social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Houston Zoo blogs).Agency liaison for promotions and advertising campaigns. Direct liaison to all major Houston sports teams for sponsorships and shared promotions. Developed and created reciprocal incentives for guests to patronize both venues.
