As a recent graduate of UC Davis with a B.S. in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, emphasizing community development, I bring a passion for addressing the complexities of our food system and local communities. My coursework spanned diverse topics, from field crop analysis to small farm economics, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability implementation across various levels.Drawing from my education, internships, and professional experiences in the agriculture sector, I've developed my skills in community outreach, program development, and data analysis. From roles such as Environmental Justice Cohort Program Assistant to Grant Project Manager for an urban farm, and now as an Outreach Coordinator at Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), I thrive in diverse responsibilities.During my year-long internship with SACOG's Government and Public Affairs Team, I leveraged my UC Davis education and previous roles to contribute to community outreach, event organizing, and data reporting efforts. Collaborating across teams, I ensure accurate and relevant content for diverse audiences, including government officials, community members, and partner agencies. Engaging directly with the community, I enhance surveying approaches and improve access to transportation and housing information in the SACOG region.My career objective is to leverage my multidimensional perspective to contribute to building sustainable and livable communities. I am deeply committed to environmentalism, community-driven planning, urban agriculture, data accessibility, and farmer extension resources, integrating sustainability and political awareness into all facets of my work.
