PSR-SPO Connection Project is a national project funded by IRCC to connect Privately Sponsored Refugees (PSRs) and their sponsors who are Groups of Five and Community Sponsors, with Service Provider Organizations (SPOs). The goal of this project is to facilitate a successful integration for the Privately Sponsored Refugees in Canada through:*Coordinating the actual connection of SPOs, sponsored refugees and their sponsors: starting from the issuance of notices of arrivals, on arrival and throughout the sponsorship period.*Enhancing the relationship between SPOs and PSRs, and increasing the level of services offered to sponsored refugees.*Assessing the settlement needs of privately sponsored refugees and providing them with tailored services. *Referring refugees to specialized services depending on their identified needs.*Providing training on PSR to settlement staff who would like to collaborate with me on this project.*Referral to French settlement services delivered by Francophone organizations to better connect refugees to Francophone and Acadian communities.

 Provide training on a range of sponsorship topics, in person and through online media, to community groups interested in sponsoring refugees, including visa office referred refugees Provide assistance to refugee sponsors ( Sponsorship Agreement Holders, Community Sponsors and Groups of five) in understanding criteria to sponsor refugees, navigating the sponsorship process submitting a successful sponsorship applications , and settling refugees Support refugee sponsors in dealing with post arrival issues, such as sponsorship disputes, secondary migration , “ echo effect” and other matters Assist refugee sponsors, especially Groups of Five and Community Sponsors in reviewing new and return sponsorship applications
