Hi, I am Mayank. A tech entrepreneur and a full-stack marketer.Thank you for showing interest in my story.For the past 18 years, I have worked with some of the brightest software engineers and marketers. Proximity to these seemingly different professions has helped me shape my philosophies.The practice of running experiments to achieve automation is one of them. 1. Start with a reasonable hypothesis.2. Then run tests.3. Arrive at something that works.4. Automate it.5. Repeat the process.I even apply these lean methodologies of software development while designing marketing campaigns.I co-founded Cognit Technologies to put this into action. At Cognit, we help tech start-ups achieve product-led growth through continuous learning.The idea is simple. Keep learning about your customers. Apply those learnings and push out new features (and offers) to test the market. Keep the ones that worked and log the learnings from each test. Do so to achieve and sustain product-market fit.But pushing out new features (on demand) is far more challenging than it sounds. Ask the software engineers.Over the years, I have developed strong admiration and respect for software engineers. They are the real heroes but rarely get the credit they deserve. Most of the valuable engineering bandwidth is wasted in putting out fires all the time. This is disheartening as engineers should be building stuff, not wasting time firefighting.We wanted to do our bit for the software engineering community. We realized that DevOps is currently the biggest bottleneck in making product iterations. And cloud-native space is getting more and more complex every day.So we set out to automate DevOps best practices, to reduce toil and create more bandwidth for engineers. And in Feb 2021, we started Project Castor.Our mission is to make high-performance DevOps accessible for teams of all sizes.
