Role and responsibility included managing the OPD and IPD of the general surgery department. Independently performing adult surgical procedure like Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Appendicectomy and Laparoscopic Hernia repair .Open Hernia (all types), emergency surgeries for bowel perforation and obstruction and all bottom cases. Also performing and assisting in Sleeve gastrectomy , hemicolectomy, small bowel resections and other GI cases.Pediatrics surgeries like circumcision, congenital hernia and undecended testes Role also includes being trauma team leader on the day of oncall. As a trauma team leader, the role includes attending all polytrauma coming to the hospital along with the team of orthopedic surgeon, accident and emergency physician , anesthetist and the radiologist. It includes to guide the team in patient management and to make the decision regarding stabilizing the patient, shifting to icu or in case of need , to shift to operation theatre. I was also involved in establishing the endoscopy unit in the department of general surgery . At present I am in charge of the endoscopy unit and work for the smooth functioning of it. I am performimg weekly twice upper gi and colonoscopies as well as insertion of PEG in required pateints.My work profile also includes teaching. The department of general surgery regularly gets medical students, interns, post interns and residents. I am involved in their teaching, lectures and well as practical hands on training. My teaching profile also includes surgical refresher course for the nursing staff.In 2018, our hospital was awarded Patient safety friendly hospital initiative award by WHO. I was the focal point for the department of general surgery and was involved actively in studying and teaching the policies to the members of the department.

• Worked as Consultant laparoscopic and General Surgeon at 106 bedded Sahyadri hospitals, Gandhidham, Gujarat, India from December 2011 to January 2014.The work profile included managing the department of General and Laparosopic surgery as well as Endoscopy. I was having daily OPD in the morning and use to operate in the afternoon on weekdays. The spectrum of cases were mainly all General surgical as well as minimal access surgery. Also patient indicated for Upper GI and Colonoscopy were done during the morning time

• Worked as Consultant Laparoscopic and General surgeon at Baba Ramdev hospital,Balotra, Rajasthan, India from Dec 2010 to Nov 2011. Was involved with the hospital right from the day one and established the Department of General and Laparoscopic surgery. The hospital was first hospital in 100 km radius to give laparoscopic surgical services.

• Worked as Consultant General surgeon at 150 bedded Bhagwan Mahaveer Hospital, Sumerpur , Rajasthan, India from Feb 2009 to Novemberr 2010. Started working independently after completing the residency . This was a rural hospital catering to nearby towns and villages. Use to conduct free surgical camps for the poor people every 6 months .The work profile included managing the department of general surgery
