Manager R&D- Program & Technical Management - Temperature Control
CurrentEnd-to-End Ownership: As a portfolio manager, complete ownership of temperature control-related projects ($60+ Mn) from Thermo Fisher's India Engineering Center. Manage and track AOP budget.Team formation and Competency: Build and lead the delivery and R&D team at IEC for Temp Control. Lead handover from Newington R&D and ensuring seamless collaboration. Reduce Barriers to Execution by trainings, knowledge, and onsite rotations. Focus on hiring, mentoring and development including early talent (freshers/interns)Portfolio Strategy and Priorities: Actively develop and participate in defining overall portfolio strategies and priorities. Additionally, develop and govern local strategies specific to the IEC. Focus on talent and cost. Build local infra and improve test utilization– Thermal chambers, Mech LabPortfolio Management: Manage a substantial portfolio of 100+ active projects, including obsolescence, quality, and cost management. Primary objective to ensure business continuity and focus on quality. Collaborate with HW/SW and Cost out horizontal teams for effective delivery. Lead QBRs and MBRs for portfolio health and team progress. New Product Introduction (NPI): Scope and lead NPI projects, both for in-house manufactured products and OEM collaborationsTechnical Governance and Gatekeeping: Facilitate global technical reviews and approvals. Additionally, review and approve change orders within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.Regulatory Compliance: Experience with safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and basic understanding of medical device regulations. Design Excellence and L&D: Experience in working on improvement opportunities with help of Six Sigma, DFX and Reliability (DFR) tools such as Statistical analysis, MSA, COV, DOE’s, Product Map and Process Map etc. Mentored 5 Green belts and 10+ yellow belt associates. Launch Udemy for all IEC associates and help with custom learning paths.
