AeroClub IIST, is a student initiative to bring the creativity, experience, and ideas together.It serves as a platform to explore the student’s latent talents and thereby enable them to come out with their innovative ideas and thoughts.Currently working with a team of highly motivated 21 members. We at AeroClub hosts seminars, sessions, workshops, talks, lectures, competitions for aspiring students and support them by providing necessary resources such as engineering tools, mentoring, guidance and study material.Initiatives:1. SpaceUp: Organised an unconference for budding space enthusiasts and had special guests from all the major space industries all across the globe. (Total participants:350)2. AeroClub summer projects ACSP: We at AeroClub provides internships to students to learn and apply their theoretical knowledge in a friendly and learning environment. (Internships provided to 35 students belonging from different engineering departments)3. Hovercraft workshop: We conducted a 3-day workshop in which we covered the theoretical knowledge, hands-on practical experience on how to make a model of hovercraft and the workshop concluded with a hovercraft designing competition. (Total participants :90)
