<< Requires Update >>When I was at Purdue, I would ask the professors how the computer works fundamentally? Every time I got an answer, I was left with more questions than the answers. And today 10 years later, I am convinced the answer to my question only exists in the form of a forever developing map that only an individual can create and experience for himself/herself.I learned about computers in a bottom-up manner, where first I learned about the hardware and physics of the computer in the form of transistors and circuits. Then I made my way up to learning about computer chip design, fabrication, compilers, operating systems, computation theories, internet infrastructure, embedded, IoT, and the world of software systems. Therefore, in my first job at Hughes I was exposed to many of the software applications that remained close to the hardware. I would often work with hardware and software teams together working as a bridge to the system. I loved my job at Hughes, however, my map was missing a big piece that required further maturing. Thus, I decided to pursue further education in the field of Software Engineering at the University of Melbourne.At UniMelb I started my journey by learning the legacy software systems such as object-oriented, functional programming, SQL, server virtualization, etc. And quickly moved to the state of the art systems such as in the field of Machine/Deep learning, cluster, and cloud computing, High-performance computing, GPU programming and full-stack development in React.js and Go. During this time, I worked on many University, Client and Personal projects that gave me first-hand experience in the field that I am soo passionate about. Lately, I have been working on quite a few client projects from different domains. This is my favorite part of software engineering, where I experience a product life cycle end to end. In the past, I have worked as a Scrum master, Devops lead and developer, however, the best suitable role for me has been as a product owner plus developer. I feel my holistic map view of the tech world gives me the advantage to understand the client's requirements and translate that understanding into a technology for the development team. Having said that, I am also involved in the core development of the project with the team, sometimes leading them and sometimes learning from them.Current Moto:I believe since I am still learning and growing with my map of technology, I realize it is best to remain agile in my future plans- Plan enough, then execute, review and improve. :)<< Requires Update >>
