I am a lawyer by education, now running a family business- a fashion media house with golf & mixology as my most enjoyed out of work activities. After having worked as a lawyer for a year, I moved into the family business, Apparel Resources, a well respected media house to the apparel & fashion market of India, publishing industry magazines - Apparel Online and Stitch World which have been a platform for manufacturer & international buyers of apparel to connect & better know one another. I navigated my way to the top of the company over a period of 8 years as now the CEO of the company - learning, streamlining and growing the business every step of the way, be it through top-line or bottom-line growth. My initiatives resulted in taking the company with its magazines to Bangladesh and Vietnam, which changed the perspective of our company from a mere media to the industry to a company that has ever since had the responsibility to facilitate and encourage regional collaborations, with each manufacturing country complementing one another with their respective strengths, to create a formidable sourcing region. Apparel Sourcing Week was initiated to facilitate the vision.
