With the National Project Management Unit at the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India involves managing, overseeing, coordinating and reviewing the Ecosystem Services Improvement Project with specific reference to the implementation of the Environmental And Social Safeguards and also leading the drafting of the Policy Document and the implementation guidelines for the second phase of National Mission for Green India, the one of the most prestigious afforestation Missions under the NAPCC. Coordinating and managing the implementation of the Mission's interventions in 4 states of India

The IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management works to provide expert guidance on integrated approaches to the management of natural and modified ecosystems to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. CEM has identified 23 themes as programmatic priority for 2017 - 2020 in its intersessional plan. Each theme has a group of experts working on issues related to the theme and has a Thematic Group Leader facilitating the group's composition and functioning.Apart from the Thematic Groups - open to all CEM members, CEM also has some special Task Forces. These Task Forces consist of a few experts within CEM or are combined task forces between different IUCN Commissions.

Conservation, Documentation and Natural Resource Management Aspects and working on assignment basis

Reviewing policy strategies of the government to identify various gaps and challenges faced within the unorganized textile and craft industry; and engage in broader policy issues related to promoting the environmental, social and economic sustainability in the crafts sector and specifically related to addressing the environmental pollution and reducing the carbon foot print of the industry. Key aspects of the profile included addressing, managing, monitoring and causing to undertake the Environment, Health and Safety related activities under the project, Developing policy briefing papers and concept notes based support advocacy with Government ministries, departments and industry associations, and conduct policy research on issues relating to handloom and handicrafts production in the unorganized sector and organize dissemination workshops for policymakers, and Designing, coordinating, organizing and delivering training programmes on sustainability (sustainable textile production and consumption practices). Stakeholder management was another key part of my work profile.

•Responsible for managing a Pilot project on WASH, involving three interrelated activities: revival and construction of traditional rainwater-harvesting systems to ensure availability of water, construction of sanitation facilities, and promotion of improved hygiene practices through community institutions called Jal Sabhas, The project was supported by the Wells of India, a UK-based charity working to bring water security and dignity to the poorest communities in rural Rajasthan), was implemented in a village cluster in Jodhpur district. •Also responsible for managing a European Commission Project “Poverty Reduction of Desert Communities in the Dry Land of Western Rajasthan through Integrated Community Based Water Resource Management. The project focused on reducing the vulnerability of the poor in the water-scarce Marwar Region and directly benefiting 80 villages of Barmer, Jalore and Jaisalmer districts in the Marwar region, reaching a beneficiary population of 100,000

Project Support and Coordination, involved in Technical Research and Documentation, Reviewing and analysing technical environmental standards, guidelines, policies and formal regulations that meet all appropriate requirements, Communicating scientific & technical information through briefings, written documents and community based training sessions on the conservation and sustainable usage of ecological resources, facilitated and supported in the biodiversity assessment studies conducted in the three protected areas in Rajasthan, and one each in MP and Orissa, Collecting, synthesizing, analysing, managing and reporting on environmental issues, Membership Coordinator of the GEF NGO Network and coordinated and administered the governance and Regional Focal Point and Central Focal Point elections process in 17 regions of the Network, prepared briefing papers and documents for presentation in the Biannual GEF Council meetings, Coordinated the organization’s affiliation with UNECOSOC and IUCN.
