What I am really good at: Helping people find hope when feeling stuck about careers and identify strategies to make that hope a reality in relation to career (and academic) success. This may be in one, or many of these forms: 1. Delivering multiculturally sensitive career counseling to individuals / small groups. 2. Training students in a holistic, person-centered approach to take ownership of their career journeys. 3. Applying evolving knowledge in neuroscience, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to educate students in practicing growth mindset, resilience, and grit. Other Activities:Founder & CEO of AlkaDevika Project Solutions (ADPS), a nascent career success coaching business with a mission to coach first-generation students and students from disadvantaged backgrounds and help remove barriers in their pursuit of professional success. First entrepreneurial venture as an immigrant woman of color — and the sky still hasn’t fallen. Referrals are always welcome and appreciated with a grateful heart.
