We do so by running soup kitchens, hosting food drives, holding awareness sessions, and running food rescue programs that recover surplus edible food from events and excess/close-to-expiry products across FMCG and retail companies that would otherwise go to waste.We believe that food is a vital tool for supporting our local communities, bringing us together and connecting us as human beings. That’s why in addition to feeding empty bellies, we also use food to build communities, tackle loneliness and provide spaces for people from different backgrounds and walks of life to meet and to make friends. Communal eating can and is making a real difference at FoodBlessed.We work on rebuilding the dignity of those in need and restoring their confidence in their community. Instead of lining up for food, like in most soup kitchens, our guests are invited to sit down at our table where they are served their food by our Hunger Heroes.We try to and indeed live by our values. Our values are at the core of everything we do and thanks to them, we know better how to work together; how to relate to our guests, hunger heroes, partners, cooks, bakers, suppliers, and our community.
