May Yip has spent 10 years in the publishing industry and established herself as a key player in content marketing, PR and lifestyle journalism. During her tenure as editor of Style: magazine, the fashion publication was voted the top female fashion magazine in Singapore, and was one of the first publications to launch a digital edition. Beyond being the face and driving force behind the established title, she also evolved Style: into a sleeker, more focused fashion guide and shared her expertise on TV and radio programmes, newspaper articles and fashion events. She had also helmed the Singapore edition of French fashion magazine, L'Officiel, as deputy editor after a two-year tenure as a features and news journalist at The Straits Times, one of the region's oldest English-language daily newspapers and is the most widely read newspapers in Singapore.Following her leadership positions in luxury publishing, May returned to her newspaper roots as a lifestyle correspondent for The Business Times. There, she specialised in luxury lifestyle content, and also profiled global CEOs for the Raffles Conversation column. When content marketing was in its infancy, May founded BOLT, which provides a suite of tailor-made communications services: From weaving authentic brand narratives to crafting thought leadership articles, SEO content, strategic social media plans, branded magazines, websites and blogs, Bolt helps its clients connect with their target market, engage customers and increase sales through a holistic content marketing strategy. The company has grown to specialise in bespoke PR strategy and digital content development, with clients ranging from Frasers Hospitality and the COMO Hotels & Resorts Group, to SMU, Weber Grills, Song Saa Private Island Resort and Guardian Health & Beauty.
