This includes code refactoring, packaging, and unit testing.• Perform cross-platform system level debugging and trouble shooting, including both on campus and in the field.• Provide internal training in areas of expertise to engineers and tech support group.• Work in agile development environment as both a Scrum Master and a developer. Worked as lead scientist on human fall detection project resulting in the world’s first automatic fall detection solution for the elderly, which is the current “best in class” solution. The project involved organizing motion capture experiments, and developing a database and middleware software to collect data patterns from real use cases. Data analysis in Matlab, algorithm development, and then implementation on an embedded platform was also involved. Led the effort for three iterations of the algorithm development. Worked with company CTO and head of engineering to meet schedule, budget, and power consumption constraints for real-time implementation. Worked with field support to monitor success of algorithms once deployed and then guide next generation of algorithms. The resulting white paper is available upon request. • Responsible for embedded software engineering on product development including feature implementation, troubleshooting, and system integration.• Lead engineer on embedded motion processing design and fall detection in extreme low power environments.• Lead engineer on Automated Test Procedure for testing the overall system and the interface with a web portal.• Worked with hardware vendors on choosing the proper components and troubleshooting hardware failures.
