Deep Force aims to be the platform for Deep Learning on edge devices. Through Deep Force platform, it becomes more straightforward to implement fast, private, secure, cost-effective, and efficient deep learning applications for end devices. The current deep learning applications are mostly cloud-based. However, we can foresee that AI cannot and will not be limited to the cloud-based solution. Distributed solutions relies on edge intelligence through on-device solutions. The on-devices solutions come with various advantages, such as interactive speed, privacy, bandwidth optimization and storage saving.The core team of Deep Force graduated from MIT, UC Berkeley/LA/Riverside, USC, NTU, THU, with over a decade working experience in Qualcomm, Broadcom, MTK, Spreadtrum, and Disney Research. The core team has the expertise in both the neural network development (software) and chip architecture (hardware.) In the application domain, we pick vision-based applications as our first landing field. We will hire experts from the other fields to expand the platform to serve more fields. With Deep Force platform, it becomes easier for all industries to deliver their deep learning applications on device with high accuracy.

While the Distinguish District plan is simple, it is not easy: The last time District 5 achieving Select Distinguished was 1979, and District has not be Distinguished for 3 years in a roll prior to this year. I added "Passion and Courage" as the core values and adopt SMART goal planning for my team in 2015-16. I leveraged the help from Region 3, and my fellow Districts in Region 10. Together, my team achieved Select Distinguished District, ranked #18 in the world, #3 in United States.Responsibility:A District Director directly oversees and manages the district’s day-to-day operations, finances, and human resources. District 5 is formed by about 3500 in 150 clubs in San Diego County, Imperial County, and Yuma, AZ. The clubs in District 5 form 34 Areas and then 6 Divisions. The goal of a district director is to empower the district leadership team members (about 100 district officers and chairs will directly report to the District Director) to work together toward the district mission, while supporting each one in his or her development as a leader.It is the district director who inspires and motivates team members to achieve goals, keeping in mind their development needs.The district director delegates tasks and authority as appropriate. When conflicts arise, the district director assists in their resolution.The district director collaborates with people inside and outside of the district to achieve district goals.
