💟 My passion is creating bridges and connections between different people. I believe I am particularly well-suited for this as I have always had to adapt to different countries and cultures. I was born in Lebanon and became a refugee when the civil war broke out there. My family moved to Greece where I grew up, having to adjust to a new country, new language and new culture. I learnt from a young age how to adapt to different cultures and environments. In 2015, as refugees started coming to Germany, I volunteered as a translator in Frankfurt am Main and in Main-Taunus Kreis. I began supporting families and people with their most immediate needs, but realised gradually that they would all need work very soon if they wanted to free themselves from the bureaucratic and strictly regulated Social Services. Moreover, I could see that a lot of young and middle-aged men were getting very frustrated not having financial independence. Hence, I started helping them find employment that suited their needs.⏰ Was I efficient? No. 💪 Was I effective? YES, DEFINITELY YES!My goal was to help them find something that would be long lasting and rewarding. Could I have done it differently? Yes, certainly, but my goal was to spend time to get to know each individual person and then help them with their application and identifying companies they could apply to. Gradually, I discovered, that I enjoyed and thrived with a particular niche...🚺 WOMEN. They could identify with me as a wife, mother, Arab, foreigner, refugee, migrant, and therein lays my strength and my USP:I AM THESE WOMEN AND THEY ARE ME.You need to have been all these things to know how difficult it is to believe that you can actually make a significant contribution to society, to your family and especially to yourself by finding work that fulfils you and financial independence. My aim is to help these women discover their potential and the strength that lie within them that will catapult their careers. On the flip side of the coin, I also love recruiting women who are well-established in their careers here in Germany as mentors for the candidates entering the job market. This can easily be part of ESG policies of their companies, or can serve as a purpose-filled initiative.
